According to Forbes, the fortune of the 27-year-old native of Russia reached $1.09 billion, after the price of the token for the first time exceeded $3 thousand. Thus, since the beginning of last year, Buterin’s fortune has grown almost 25 times.

The capitalization of Ethereum is $366 billion. It is the second largest cryptocurrency in the world, behind Bitcoin with a capitalization of $1.05 trillion. Over the past year, the price of the digital coin created by Buterin has increased by more than 325%.

At the end of April, it was reported that Beijing became the world capital of billionaires for the first time. According to Forbes, 33 new billionaires appeared in this Chinese city in a year, while in New York only seven.

The richest resident of Beijing is Zheng Yiming, the founder of ByteDance, which owns TikTok. His fortune is estimated at $35.6 billion.

In New York, the richest is the former mayor of the city and businessman Michael Bloomberg, whose fortune reaches $59 billion.
