Forbes magazine has excluded the creator of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov from the list of billionaires of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). On April 10, this is evidenced by information on the magazine’s website.
Durov, who recently topped the list of the richest people in the UAE, ranks ninth in the Russian segment of the ranking, according to the updated data. The fortune of the creator of Telegram is estimated at $17.2 billion.
Over the year, Durov’s capital has grown by $13.8 billion. In the global ranking of the richest people in the world, he occupies 112th position.
Earlier on April 6, it was reported that the magazine published the 35th annual ranking of the richest people in the world. There are 123 Russian billionaires on the list, up from 102 in 2019. The list is still topped by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, whose fortune grew by $64 billion in a year to $177 billion.
