Forbes has compiled a list of 200 richest Russians


Vladimir Potanin, president of the Interros holding and the largest shareholder of MMC Norilsk Nickel, with a fortune of $19.7 billion, took first place in the list of the 200 richest businessmen in Russia according to Forbes magazine.

In last year’s ranking of the magazine, Potanin was in sixth place with $18.1 billion.

The second place was kept by the chairman of the board of directors of NLMK Vladimir Lisin, but his fortune decreased from $21.3 billion to $18.1 billion over the year.

The leader of last year’s rating, the chairman of the board of Novatek, Leonid Mikhelson, dropped to the third position. His fortune decreased from $24 billion to $17.1 billion.

The fourth line was taken by the chairman of the board of directors of PJSC Severstal, Alexei Mordashov, with his family and a fortune of $16.8 billion. The president of NK Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, closes the top five with $15.2 billion.

The top ten also included: member of the board of directors of Novatek and Sibur Gennady Timchenko ($14.4 billion), founder and main shareholder of USM Holdings Alisher Usmanov ($13.4 billion), member of the board of directors of LetterOne Holdings, chairman of the supervisory board of Alfa -Group” Mikhail Fridman ($13 billion), Andrey Melnichenko, Chairman of the Appointment and Remuneration Committee of EuroChem ($12.5 billion), and Roman Abramovich, the main owner of the investment company Millhouse ($11.3 billion).

Among the newcomers to the rating are the billionaire brothers Dmitry and Igor Bukhman, the creators of the game developer Playrix – 34th and 35th places, respectively, with a fortune of $ 3.1 billion each. New on the list were the creator of one of the world’s largest dating services Dmitry Volkov, taking 26th place with $ 750 million, as well as the CEO of the manufacturer of goods for the office Komus Sergey Bobrikov ($ 550 million and 167th place) and some other.

The widow of former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, Elena Baturina, is recognized as the richest woman in 2020, whose fortune the magazine estimates at $1.3 billion.
