Forbes magazine has compiled a rating of the 100 wealthiest civil servants and deputies in Russia. According to the publication, Dmitry Pashov, a parliamentarian from the Sakhalin Regional Duma, became the richest official in the country.

According to Forbes, in 2019 Pashov’s income amounted to 6.2 billion rubles. Pashov was not on the same Forbes list last year, but since then his income has grown 610 times, the material says. His declaration does not indicate the sources of new funds, NSN reports.
In second place is the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Kamchatka Territory Igor Yevtushok with 5.4 billion rubles. The third position is occupied by a deputy from the Legislative Assembly of the Chelyabinsk region Konstantin Strukov. The magazine estimated his income at 5.05 billion rubles.
The fourth and fifth places were taken by Senator Valery Ponomareva (2.79 billion rubles) and deputy of the Magadan Regional Duma Alexander Basansky (2.73 billion rubles), the 360 TV channel reports.
When compiling the list, Forbes studied the declarations of over 400 departments and government structures. The publication also took into account the total income of the family of officials and parliamentarians.
On September 14, Forbes wrote that Spanish club Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi topped the ranking of the highest paid footballers of the year. In 2020, the income of the 33-year-old athlete amounted to $126 million, of which $34 million came from advertising contracts.
