Forbes has published a rating of the richest families in Russia

The Russian magazine Forbes has compiled a list of the richest families in the country over the past year. For the third time, the leading position was taken by the Gutseriev family with a total fortune of $9.91 billion.

It is noted that the income of all the ten richest dynasties increased to $ 27 billion. With regards to the Gutserievs, their profits increased with the appearance in the family of two new business partners, the son and nephew of the founder of the Safmar industrial and financial group, Mikhail Gutseriev.

The second place in the list was taken by the Rotenberg couple with an income of $4.2 billion, engaged in Gazprom contracts and other government orders. The third line is occupied by the Ananyev brothers, chairmen of the board of directors of Promsvyazbank with a fortune of $2.215 billion.

When compiling the rating, only persons engaged in private entrepreneurship were taken into account. Income was calculated on the basis of family-owned companies, shares, land and personal property.

Earlier, Forbes magazine published the top 25 richest Russian women in 2017. The first position in the list was taken by the wife of the ex-mayor of the capital, Yuri Luzhkov, Elena Baturina. According to the publication, the annual income of Luzhkov’s wife amounted to $1 billion.
