The American magazine Forbes included the Russian retailer Magnit and the mining and metallurgical company Norilsk Nickel in the top 100 most innovative companies in the world. This was reported on the magazine’s website.
Thus, Sergey Galitsky’s Magnit was on the 53rd line, Vladimir Potanin’s Norilsk Nickel – on the 63rd. The rating was headed by Salesforce, which develops software for customer accounting systems. The second place is occupied by the leader of the last two years – the American manufacturer of electric cars Tesla, in the third place – by the leading US online retailer Amazon. It is noted that Facebook was excluded from the list, as well as a number of banks and energy firms, whose exchange value does not depend on innovation.
The members of the list are distributed according to the “innovation premium” – the difference between capitalization and discounted cash flow from current activities. The rating includes companies with a market capitalization of at least $10 billion that have published financial statements over the past seven years.
