Enrique Nicholas, III. Net worth: Enrique Nicholas, III. is an American businessman and entrepreneur who has a net worth of $3.8 billion. Henry Nicholas is co-founder and former co-chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Broadcom Corporation. He is also a staunch philanthropist and leader of the victims’ rights movement. Henry Thompson Nicholas III was born in 1959 in Cincinnati, Ohio. After his parents divorced, he moved in with his mother in Santa Monica, California. After high school, he enrolled in the US Air Force Academy, but dropped out after three years when it became clear that his height, which is 6-foot-6, prevented him from becoming a pilot. After leaving the Air Force Academy, he enrolled at UCLA, where he graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering. He then went on to MS and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. After college, Henry went into the TRW conglomerate business. It was at TRW that Henry Nicholas met Dr. Henry Samueli, who would be his business partner later in life. Henry’s next stop was PairGen Technologies, where he was Director of Microelectronics. It was in 1991 that he left his job at PairGen to co-found Broadcom Corporation with Samueli. They both invested $5,000 to launch the company. The business partners publicly built their semiconductor company in 1998, after which it became an electronics manufacturing powerhouse. In a very short time it has achieved an annual revenue of $1 billion, an increase faster than any American semiconductor company in history. As of 2011, the company’s revenue had reached $7.4 billion. Nicholas focused on philanthropy and founded the Nicholas Academic Centers which enabled more than 230 students to study at world-class universities. He also supports causes in the Episcopal community and the arts through the Henry T. Nicholas Foundation.

disputes: Henry Nicholas spent over $30 million renovating his Southern California home. The final version of the house contained an underground men’s cave that some have described as a private sex dungeon. When the neighbors complained about the construction, Nicholas moved his dungeon to a nearby warehouse. The warehouse was soon renamed “La Ponderosa” or “El Estanque” as regular customers called it. Visitors entered through a secret passage that opened into a large room decorated in red and gold. Nicholas allegedly supplied a large supply of drugs and prostitutes to the visitors. His wife filed for divorce early and was filed by government prosecutors who brought him up for securities fraud. Those charges were ultimately dismissed. In August 2018, Henry Nicholas was arrested in Las Vegas after hotel security found an unsuspecting woman in his room with a suitcase full of drugs.
