Forbes magazine has compiled a ranking of the richest people in the world at the end of 2020. The Russian segment of the rating was headed by the main owner of Severstal, Alexei Mordashov.
According to Forbes, the fortune of Mordashov and his family is estimated at $29.1 billion.
The top three included the head and beneficiary of the mining and metallurgical company Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, with a fortune of $27 billion, as well as the chairman of the board of directors and the main shareholder of the NLMK group, Vladimir Lisin, whose fortune is estimated at $26.2 billion.
It is noted that entrepreneur Gennady Timchenko ($22 billion), head of USM Holdings Alisher Usmanov ($18.4 billion), Evrokhim beneficiary Andrey Melnichenko ($17.9 billion), founder of Telegram Pavel Durov ( $17.2 billion), Senator Suleiman Kerimov and his family ($15.8 billion) and Alfa Bank founder and head of LetterOne Mikhail Fridman ($15.5 billion).
In February, it became known that the co-owner of Severstal, Alexei Mordashov, topped the list of the richest entrepreneurs in Russia according to Forbes Real Time.
