A second female billionaire has appeared in Russia. She became Tatyana Bakalchuk, according to Forbes magazine.
Bakalchuk, according to the SPARK system, is the sole owner of the Wildberries online store. This company ranked fourth in the ranking of the most valuable companies compiled by Forbes. Its value is estimated at $1.2 billion. This allows the owner’s personal fortune to be estimated at more than $1 billion, the article says. Thus, Bakalchuk can be considered the second Russian woman billionaire after businesswoman Elena Baturina.
The publication clarifies that Wildberries is not a public company. The valuation is based on sales and earnings data, as well as multiples of similar projects and venture capitalists’ estimates.
In October 2018, in the ranking of the richest women in Russia according to Forbes, Bakalchuk took second place (the fortune was estimated at $600 million). The first was Baturina with $ 1.2 billion. Her husband, former Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov, called the information about his wife’s condition “complete nonsense” and said that there was nothing similar in reality.
